Tomorrow is the last day of 'STEP Beyond Winter Camp'

I can't believe it. Time goes so fast. Everyday in this program was funny. 

Although I was so sleepy, I do my best.

I learned about Writing, Giving Title, Pronunciation and so on.

Erika teacher, Pada, SungJae, Erica, Effy, James, 

Jason, JiHee, Wonsook, JinWook, ByeonYeon,  I'll miss you~!

I can't forget this vacation. I was so happy.

In this program. I've been encouraged to speak English. 

I tested myself and know about myself. I'll get better when time goes by.

It was so nice for me to get this program.

It was all about my 4 weeks.

I'm very pleased to join this program.

I hope if I can, I'll do this program next time.

Interview about Genetic Problems

1) If you could change a plant or animal in some way (for example, make broccoli that tastes like chocolate or a bee that doesn't sting), what would you do?


I want to make Personal tree. Personal tree is a small tree. We can get fruits, vegetables, and so on. These foods are fresh, and they tastes very nice. Also, it can purifies polluted air. With this tree, many people can help global warming, too. Personal tree will be a great in the future!



2) Do you think there should be laws against human cloning? Why or why not?


This question just like this, "Suppose you have 10 points which you can use for your ability. It costs 6 point to develop intelligence and healthy. If you want to get a intelligence, you've give up with healthy and vice versa. So, what ability do you want to develop?" It's so hard to choose.

Interview about Disaster Memories

Almost every day, there is a natural disaster in the news. It could be a hurricane, a snowstorm, a floor, or an earthquake. What makes you most afraid?

I think earthquake is the most dangerous because people depend on land. People can't live without land. If a earthquaking happens, lands where people need are lost. 









The disasters that we are most likely to remember are those that happen closest to where we live. Can you remember a disaster (fire, plane crash, etc.) that happened near where you live? Tell about it.

It was 2004. That day I went to grandpa's house. At 8 pm, I heard about the news that typhoon 'Memi' was coming. At that time, it was just some windy outside. But when the time had gone by, wind went faster and faster. I thought it would be serious. My family left at 9 pm. There were dangerous. While my family was driving our car, some chairs, signs, and somethings were flying everywhere. I was so afraid with them. When we got home, the light was gone. All of electricity was gone. So mom used some candles. they were placed in a bathroom and living room. My family gathered and listened carefully the radio. There were some waters in room because of odd wind. After some hours, we get relieved and played 'Janggi'. But we can't go outside until tomorrow morning. When I turned on TV, there were many harms. It was so afraid for me.









What is the worst weather your country has? What must people do to protect themselves during this kind of weather?

Nowadays, abnormal climate problem is getting worse. For example, there was heavy snowing during a century in Seoul. It was too much to go outside. [I went out to meet a relative that day.] If you meet a heavy snow, I recommend a glove and umbrella. Especially, a umbrella can save us from being covered by heavy snow 

How can I use lots of money.

I'll not lean to money. First, I want to be a early adopter. For instance, I'll buy Optimus 2x which released tomorrow, And I'll write some of informations about that. Then many people can be helped. Next, I want to study foreign customs. For example, Korean mind has many different thing with American mind. I want to know these two things and make gap smaller. And, I want to live peaceful without my information which I'm rich. Likewise,  I just want some help with money. I won't show off my richness. I want to learn and make something that I want. If I have a lot of money, I just be supported some money.

Personal Center

I want to make a program which can gather whatever I need. For example, there's 'Naver me'. It can subscribe every thing such as news, SNS's timeline, a board of cafe, webtoon, and so on. My program will be able to do everything. If my program is used, you never need any browser except find something. I'll combine any site. It can be help who does internet with many sites. But this program can have some problems. Because of non-advertisement.
I want to make this program someday.

Korean's Being Adult Day

Koreans usually have their celebration at their special holiday, 'Being adult day' (Third Sunday in May). In that day, Korean people are celebrated by everyone. But nowadays, people don't think about that because of this day is too late to be an adult. Some of people have some complain about it. And then people even know that day is just like to go out and play. So Korea Government think about that problem , and they made some prize to celebrate this day. But, actually there's no event for new-being adults.

I think there must be a celebration day for new-being adults. I'll introduce my hope of 'Being adult day'. In this day, many new-being adults are invited. And people who are CEOs or any other leaders come and do the speech for new-being adults. All of new-being adults celebrating themselves. Some of teen group can introduce and doing some activities. It'll be a great day.

My 15th Birthday

I'll introduce my 15th birthday to you. There was special day in my life although that day was not important in Korea tradition. (Quinceanera!) I was brought my camera for my gift. It has a story. This camera was bought by my dad in my birthday. But It was hidden for 2 weeks. Why? Because at that time, I was preparing my middle school exam. So when I have finished, dad gave it for me. I was so happy. After I've got it, I went out to taking pictures with it. So it's about 5 years old. But it still nice. These day's trendy model looks like this. So some people misunderstand my model [It's a latest model!] Now I really love it and I went anywhere with this. That day was the most happiest day in my birthdays.

New Year in Seoul

2011, Fist day I went to Seoul. I've to choose how I get at Seoultech (taking subway, get a motel). First I want to go there through subway. So I tried it.First, I should wake up at 4 a.m. and prepare sometime and got subway to seoul at 5:30 This picture is about that. I went subway station.

I got a first train. There was few people. [like.. 6 in this train?] Than I went to tranfer. While I was going.. I couldn't nothing because of so sleepy. I was just reading 1 hours, listening music. After transfered, I missed the station. So I went to Seoultech at 9:10. If I had real about this, I can't stand any more. So I got a motel near the Univ.

Why I write it for favorite holiday? Because after this day, I decided to live hard, good. And I think I can be grow. It was a very great chance to me.

Last, I want to say to others.

'Don't say that will be OK before you have done it. '

Seoul Life

Hi! I'm John. I live in Gositel [Motel for study.] Today, I'll introduce my Seoul life. I get up at 7:00. I wash for 30 minutes (because of long way to go washroom.) I eat breakfast with some fruits. I go to Univ. at 8:20. I can see sunrising on my way to Univ.

 I go to Foreign Center at 8:30. There's Jason who is always doing his homework. And then others come, and study. Brahm deBuys's Listening & Speaking class is first time in here. He always asks us "How are you today?" [Cold..] And he loves his iphone. He makes students 'Move!'. Then students start conversations. He is so nice.
Erika Riddle's Reading & Writing class is the next. She went lots of countries, and tell us "It isn't disgusting, it's interesting."  She has many stories, so she often tell us some stories. They are very interesting. [Bee! Bee!] Students should do their homework on internet, and print something. So they can talk about some conversations about them.
Una Milling's Presentation class is the last class [It's selecting lecture.] She is very confident. Because of this, she perfectly leads students. [Who is the singer?] Her lecture is very powerful. Students must know about 'What did we do before? [all of things]' I like this class because her gives many occasions to speech. [I must send Una my voice presentation tomorrow.]

 It's the end of class. I can't sit table. Just go home. And I do my homework. I have to make my dinner. It's so hard for me to make dinner. Because I didn't make any foods before. [Now I'm not bad, but not good.]
Alone in my house, I didn't be alone before. [Wherever I am someone was be with me before.] So I'm very awkward about it. I go out instead. And walking around to know the areas. So I've no time to read books. But someday, I'll restart to read books.

 This is my Seoul life. I'm a first to live alone in here. I'll go through lots of things. But I'll do nice.

Do You Know Bibimbap?

There a lot of foods in Korea such as korean pork [삼겹살] , galbi [갈비], and so on. I'll talk about bibimbap. Bibimbap is mixed food whatever you can eat with rice.

There are lots of interesting point in bibimbap. First, bibimbap can be with greens as many as you can. Many vegetables can easily be in bibimbap. For that reason, bibimbap is very nutritious. And, bibimbap can be with meat as much as you can, too. Because of that, tastes can be change various. Also, it's very easy to make. Just put some and mix! You can adjust taste if want. There are many things why bibimbap has its many merits.

Nowadays, trend 'Well-being' comes to us. 'Well-being' means good-at-body. So many foods are introduced which is about 'Well-being'. So I'll tell one of these.

Have you heard about Vietnam Ssam? It's just like spaghetti on baguette. Just put vegetables and meat on a rice paper. And roll and eat. It may be more delicious with sauce. You can put any food on rice paper. It's easy to eat and cook. Also there are many good nutritious with vegetables.

I couldn't eat this because of busy days. I want to eat it someday.

Traveling Seoul

Last week I traveled Dongdaemun, Jangchung gym and Myungdong. Wherever I first come away from home, I take a walk because I can familiarize myself with the neighborhood. So I took subway to Dongdaemun station, and started to walk for Dongdaemun. 
[Dongdaemun is the first Treasure in Korea.]
It was a very huge, grand door! There were many people. At that time I couldn't enter it. In past, there was a one of four doors in Seoul. It was nice but made me sad about Namdaemum's fire. After I saw it




After I saw aCheonggye creek. I have been there sometimes. But It was first to come alone in winter. There was a man seeing creek and two girls were playing on a stone bridge. This creek opened in 2005. There were many times and changes. Now Cheonggye creek is one of sight-seeing in Seoul.

 Because I don't like many people in small place, then I walked for Jangchung gym. [good bye market :D]
Jangchung gym is place where famous tv show's event played. But it was hard find place where tv show flimed, 
I gave up and went to Myungdong. I went YPbooks and was looking around. I read some magazines. And I saw some CD albums. [There was The Quiett's CD!]

 I went T world and I saw Desire HD2! That was a hopeful phone, but now they goes the old smart phone.:: Anyway, I saw many smart phones and so on.

At last, I was dying to eat. So I wanted to eat kalguksu which is famous in Seoul, but there were so many people. So I went 3800 pork cutlet house and ate.




I had a lot of time for walking Seoul. When I got home, I just slept. After I got up, I knew that my wallet was stolen. I was really sad today's morning. But how can I do? "Just erase it  and be happy" is an answer.

I like to take pictures very much. It's so nice to log thing I saw, and amazing to see another view point. Today's topic is 'Pictures Log My Life.'  Pictures give me a chance to remind my happy memories. I'll talk about some pictures for example.

These are pictures about my participation of '2010 Indigo Youth Bookfair'. It was on vacation in my 3rd grade of high school. I took part in this forum with my friend who have introduce this forum before. This forum became many chances to me about humanities.

Person in the picture is Juila Haslett, a movie director. I saw her movie, and was inspired by her.

 These pictures are about my free traveling. I hadn't taken the 3rd subway in Busan before, So I decided to take all of 3rd subway. (3rd subway goes to Kimhae.) I was so happy because subway went outside just like a train, and I could see around. Right picture was taken in subway, and left picture was taken in farming place. It was so nice to feel like in peace place.

  

This picture is the front gate of my university. It was taken in Dec, 2010 to take part in a social meeting. It was my first trip alone. So I went with lots of expecting, and it was so nice. Nowadays I go here to study. It's so nice, and I'll do my best in my class.

I can write my life like this. When I see pictures, I can remember memories. Doing like this is more powerful than just saying. Pictures log my life, and I can be happy with remind the memories.

Taking pictures is so nice, and I love it . I'll do it forever.

When people meet at first time, they always introduce themselves.


"... My hobby is taking pictures. My major is ........"


they usually says lots of thing to find something in common, but only Korean says about this.


"My Blood Type is B."


The reason about saying this, people can know his or her personality. Do you think it is right?

The more time goes, the more thing has redefinition.

Actually, There's only Korea which need to know blood type in many occasions. An American reporter was so sarcastic about Korean Because of 'Korean Blood Type Syndrome'. Korean people think there's something related with personality, and avoid specific Type like B or AB. But there isn't any result of relation between them. A research about that did some years ago, and there's no direct connection.


I think that Korean thinking is not right. That way of thinking is from early generation like a kind of nepotism. As I’ve said before, The more time goes, the more thing has redefinition.

I think expression makes face, and then makes personality.

I'll show you 2 stories.

Suppose there's a man. The man was born poor. He grew up with starvation, homelessness, and so on. But he always smiled, didn't be frustrated, and didn't abandon life. 

So now his face looks happy if he did't go through any trouble. Everyone sees him, and thinks that he lives happily. 

Suppose there's a woman. The woman was born rich. She grew up with being well off, Large home, and so on. But she always complained, was about to cry, felt sad.

So now her face looks sad if she went  through many troubles. When everyone sees her, thinks that she lived in deprived.

I think the Chinese viewpoint is a part of this.
The more time goes, the more thing has redefinition, I think.

Why are some people smarter than others?

I think there are many reasons about this question, so I'll tell some of that.

Suppose threre are normal people, and smart people.


There's a gap between two kinds of people.

What's about?


First, it's a think.

If normal people think the example solution of problem., smart people think make soulution of problem.


And, it's a confidence.

Smart people doesn't lost their own confidence, and they make it.
But normal people are easy to lose their confidence, and go fail.

I told some of reasons, but there're many reasons that I didn't think about.
